Christmas card Number 5

Good afternoon crafter's hope you are all well on this wonderfully not wet afternoon (in Preston that is). Another Christmas card for you to see today.

This has been made for a friend of mine but I have also made one nearly the same for my mum and dad so I hope they like it.

The card is an 8" X 8" card.

For the image I used my favourite Santa stamp.  I'm sorry I can't tell you who the stamp is made by as I can't remember where I got it from.

The background card was one of hunkydorys from there Christmas collection.

I have used marianne dies to cut the snowflakes out of white and silver card, I then topped them with mother of pearl sequins.  I must admit I have used a lot of these this year as I do like to add them on my cards.

The sentiment was printed using my computer.

To make the white poinsettia's I used one of my old dies from quickcutz.

The Bling Appeal

I used sequins, peeloffs, blue jems, card candi and stickles to add the bling that I love on my cards.

Thank you so much for taking the time to view my blog, I know we are all very busy people especially with the run up to Christmas. I hope you like this card as much as I do,  I think this is one of my favourites for this year.

Christmas Cards 2012 - Number4

Well better late than never here is number 4.  This card is not as big a card as the others I have shown you so far but sometimes I think you can make some really cute cards which are smaller.

To make this side easel card I used a sheet of Hunkdory snowflake card and some paper /i stamped with pink /purple snowflakes.

The Sentiment was produced using my computer and then using a spellbinder die.

The Bling Appeal - I used Gems, Beads, Silver Snowflake confetti, silver card candi and peeloffs.

Thanks for taking the time to take a look.

Christmas Cards 2012 - Card Number 3

Good evening crafters hope you all well.  Well as promised below is another commissioned card that I have just made for a friend.

I used a Hunkydory piece of Gold embossed card for the background.

I used gold and white glitter to make the glitter image which has then been matted onto gold card.

The Snowflakes were made using mariannes designs snowflakes dies which have been cut out of gold and white card.  To finish the centre of the snowflakes I have stuck on mother of pearl sequins.
The sentiment has been printed using my computer.

Thank you for taking the time to take a look at my card, I hope you like it.  Please don't forget to take a look tomorrow as I will be posting another card tomorrow.

Christmas Card 2012 Number 1

Good Afternoon everybody, hope you are all fit and well and not too stressed out with the wonderful (stressful time for some) thought of christmas being nearly here.  I just thought I would share with you my latest card commisioned christmas card for a friend at work

I used one of my old stamps that was in my stamp drawer (sorry I don't know what make it is) to make my poinsettia which I coloured in with my new spectrum noir pens.  I don't know about anyone else but I think these are awesome.

To finish the poinsettia off i used sequins for the centre and then added glitter to the leaves.

Hope you will leave feedback for me.

Wednesday 7 November 2012

Hi everyone, a really busy day today for me. My daughter unfortunately is under the weather so I have been playing nursemaid most of the day, looking after the boys and of course finally finishing my latest DT card for Jems.

So if you have not already see her on the Jems Designs Website I would like to introduce to you the Mermaid -  Breeze by jemsdesigns.  When I saw this cute little Digi I just could not resist her.

All the sea greenery and flowers were cut out on white card using my Cricut machine with the Dreams-Come-True-Cricut-Cartridge.  I then had to colour them in with my new spectrum noir pens from crafterscompanion which I must add are FABULOUS !!

Hope you like the DT card for Jems I made,  I would really be grateful to hear your comments.

Craft Fair At Deafway - 19/2/12 10am - 4pm

Deafway is holding a craft fair and open day in aid of our 1000 friends for Maria
appeal.
Maria is a young girl living in desperate poverty in Uganda. She is 6 years old and
was born profoundly deaf. When she was less than 2 years old, her parents deserted her, leaving her widowed grandmother to look after her. Without specialist education, Maria will never learn to communicate, she will never make friends and she will have a very bleak, quite frightening, life to look forward to.
18 months ago, Deafway formed a partnership with a tiny, struggling school for deaf children in Maria’s area of Uganda (south of Kampala, near a place called Nkose). The school is called St. Anthony’s. This is potentially a wonderful school, but it has no money. Neither Maria’s grandmother nor the families of the other deaf children can afford school fees - there is no money available from the government. At the moment the children go out begging after lessons so that the school can afford to feed them.
Our aim is to be able to fund and support the school for an initial two year period - salaries and training for the teachers, food for the children (it’s a boarding school), support in how to set up and run a school properly. During the two years we can prove the difference the school can make to Maria’s life and the life of many other deaf children. That will make it easier for the school to get funding to continue afterwards.
We need to raise £60,000 - that will cover all of the costs for the school to educate 50 deaf children for two years. That’s just £12 per child per week to pay for all the teacher’s salaries, food, accommodation and educational materials.
So far we’ve raised/received pledges for around £40,000. We desperately need to raise the final £20,000 - and we need to do so by 31st March 2012 or we will have to give back £24,000 of the money which has already been pledged.
